Arsenal ready to move for Manchester United star

Ensure a greater understanding of the offside trapArsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to ease his striking concerns with a January move for out-of-favour Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Gunners have become a little over reliant on Olivier Giroud this term, with the Frenchman being the Londoners’ only high quality centre-forward.

The likes of Nicklas Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo are currently Wenger’s back-up options, but he is said to be unconvinced by either player.

As a result, a new striker is on the club’s radar ahead of the winter window, with Hernandez near the top of the list.

The Mexican developed a reputation as a prolific marksmen during his debut campaign in the Premier League, but struggled for game time last season.

This has continued under new Red Devils chief David Moyes, who has frequently chosen to field Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney in attacking positions since taking control at Old Trafford.

Wenger is ready to take advantage of the situation, and is believed to have has scouts monitoring Chicharito ahead of a New Year swoop.

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez is believed to be Arsenal’s top target, but the club are aware that they may be unable to convince their domestic rivals to sell the Uruguayan.
