Arsenal rocked as £20m midfield target pours cold water over summer move

Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has announced he is happy with the Premier League champions amid links with a move away, report L’Equipe (via the Telegraph).

The 25-year old central midfielder was one of the most stunning sub-plots of the season as the Foxes stormed to perhaps the most unlikely title usurping of all time.

Despite a largely unheralded arrival from Caen last summer, the tenacious Frenchman established himself as one of the best in his position across European football.

As a result, he has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain even after the East Midlands outfit made it into the Champions League.

However, he has revealed he would indeed be open to the possibility of staying at the King Power Stadium despite reports suggesting he has a £20m release clause inserted into his deal.

“For now, I am happy at Leicester,” he told L’Equipe.

“I do not pay too much attention to everything that is said. For now, I am in Leicester and I focus on the Euros.”
