Arsenal look set to miss out on Adrien Rabiot, with the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder having hinted that he’s open to a move to Roma.
The French playmaker looks set to leave the Parc des Princes in January with his contract due to end next summer.
PSG have attempted to keep their 19-year-old starlet with a new deal, but the teenager wants regular action after growing frustrated with his lack of game time in Paris.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a raid for his signature, but Roma have long been seen as favourites in the race for the youngster.
And now Rabiot himself has suggested that a switch to the Italian capital would appeal to him:
“Roma are a great club, their project is enticing and they are in the Champions League,” he is quoted by The Metro.
Despite possessing almost endless riches, PSG are far from keen to see such a talent leave for free, and are set to reluctantly accept cut-price offers at the turn of the year.
Rabiot has shone in Ligue 1 over the course of the past few seasons since emerging during a loan spell at Toulouse.
