Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set spend big again this summer, making Borussia Dortmund pair Robert Lewandowski and Mario Goetze along with Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender his main targets, according to the Daily Mirror.
Wenger spent big over the past 12 months with the high profile additions of Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal and the long serving Frenchman is set to do so again this summer by raiding the German top division.
Lewandowski is wanted by a number of top European sides and with Arsenal struggling to make the top four, the Polish international may be attracted to other offers this summer.
Goetze is considered as one of the top players coming through in Europe and the attacking midfielder could compliment Cazorla in a way that Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta simply can’t.
Arsenal may have an easier task of signing Bender from Leverkusen as the German international seeks news horizons.
