Arsenal set transfer sights on Dortmund ace

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)Arsenal have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus, according to reports from The Telegraph.

Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has recently swooped to secure German international Mesut Ozil in a club record deal, but is now keen to lure his compatriot to the Emirates Stadium.

Reus has been one of the Bundesliga’s top talents over the course of the past few seasons, becoming an integral part of European the runners-ups’ first-team.

But, Wenger is hopeful that he can reach an agreement with the club, and has sent scouts to assess the 24-year-old.

Reus is said to be valued at around £20m, but Dortmund are unlikely to want to sell unless the player himself actively pursues a move.

Whether or not the 17-time German international would be willing to do so remains unclear, with him having only moved to the Westfalenstadion last year.

Arsenal are also keen on Reus’ team-mate Ilkay Gundogan and Bayer Leverkusen’s Lars Bender.

Wenger was linked with moves for the pair over the summer, and is said to be keen to return with fresh offers next year.

The Frenchman may also make another move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.

Arsenal fans, would Marco Reus be a wise investment?
