After three fairly emasculating results in quick succession – defeats to Barcelona and Manchester United and a draw at home to Championship side Hull who fielded a second-string side – Arsenal fans will perhaps be dreading this evening’s Premier League fixtures.
After all, tonight could see Spurs go top of the league, whilst defeat for Arsenal could see them fall six points behind their rivals before Saturday’s trip to White Hart Lane could see their title hopes well and truly extinguished. All of this in perhaps the one season in the last decade where Arsenal felt they had a real chance of winning the title.
So in these circumstances, the last thing you want to see is your star player taking time off from the training pitch to shoot a cringeworthy new ad with his dogs.
Yes, Arsenal fans were surely dismayed to see Alexis Sanchez’s latest Twitter post, a video of a TV ad for dog food, starring the Chilean international and his two dogs, Humber and Atom, who have gained quite a fan-following after Alexis’s posts with them on social media.

If you’re playing well and winning, no one will have any complaints about what you do in your free time, but when you’re coming off a run of no win in three games in all competitions, especially losing to a Manchester United team playing with a number of academy players, then surely this isn’t the time to be making cringeworthy ads for dog food!
