Oliver Giroud put Arsenal ahead against Everton in today’s Premier League game at the Emirates with a neat finish from an Arsenal corner. The goal will come as a massive relief for the striker who missed a host of easy chances against Moanco in the Champions League midweek.
It’s hard to paint missing chances as being a good thing, but tenacity is something the Gunners have desperately lacked over the last few seasons, especially in forward positions. Giroud showed that he has this by putting his side 1-0 up with a sweeping shot into the far corner.
A return of 27 goals in his first 70 Premier League appearances wasn’t exactly spectacular from the frenchman, but Giroud has improved in his time at the Emirates. The striker has now scored 9 goals in his last 13 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, something that seems particularly surprising given how often the player is panned by the media and fans alike.
Giroud has nearly a 1 in 2 goal to game ratio, now imagine if he was world class haha! Alright half that, like this Gabriel fellow.

Not many better CF's in the game that could do what Giroud does for our system. Benzema, Lewandowski & Mandžukić better on top of my head.
