Arsenal star remains unsure of future

Arsenal striker Marouane ChamakhArsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has admitted that his future with the club is far from clear, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Moroccan hit-man has endured a fairly disappointing spell in the Premier League following his arrival two seasons ago.

After managing to find the net just once last term, the 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium with winger Gervinho having be preferred as a central striker on multiple occasions.

It would appear that his time in North London is coming to an end and Chamakh has admitted that he is unsure as to where his playing future lies:

“I think I can bring something to the team, but I’m going to have to make a decision in the summer one way or another,”

He insisted that his favoured option would be to stay in England, but he would be open to a return to France with his former club:

“My priority is here in England but if I return to France, it’ll only be for Bordeaux.”

Everton, Blackburn and Espanyol have all been linked with a move for the striker, suggesting that he will have options should he leave North London.

Arsenal fought off competition from Liverpool to secure Chamakh’s signature in 2010, when he was regarded as one of the finest emerging talents in Europe.

However, he struggled to adapt to life with the club, managing only a handful of impressive displays.
