Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is set to for a shock loan return to former club Southampton, according to the Metro.
The 20-year old has struggled for first-team action since moving to North London from the South Coast in 2014 for around £16m.
After a promising star, during which he was called up to the England squad, the versatile defender has seemingly lost his way.
Now, former club Southampton are reportedly set to end his Emirates nightmare by offering him a chance to come back on loan for six months.
A product of their famed academy system, the St. Mary’s outfit are on the lookout for defensive cover as they bid to replicate their stunning form shown last season.
Chambers has been utilised as either a right-back, at centre-half or even in defensive midfield during his time with the Gunners.
