Arsenal fans have turned to Twitter to voice their opinions regarding Sanchez’s performance against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Despite scoring Arsenal’s first goal of the evening, Sanchez – on the basis of the ninety minutes – had a relatively disappointing display.
The Chilean star was far too ineffective in the first half, and he failed to exert his creative influence. In truth, the 29-year-old has been unable to attain the same standard of performance that he was producing on a consistent basis last season.
Sanchez has only scored five league goals in 16 games for the Gunners this season, and the uncertainty regarding his future in Arsenal’s iconic red shirt has led to further criticism of his performances.
At his age, it is plausible to suggest that Sanchez has reached the pinnacle of his footballing abilities, and you would expect the Barca star to deliver on a weekly basis.
Here’s how the Arsenal supporters reacted to his performance on Twitter.

I actually think I know what has happened to Alexis Sanchez. My theory is based upon the plot of the 1996 movie ‘Space Jam’.
