As reported by The Mirror, new Arsenal boss Unai Emery is eager to make Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi one of his first signings this summer.

The French international was signed by Emery in 2015 for the Spanish club, from Stoke City, and the former Paris Saint-Germain boss wants a reunion at Arsenal.

N'Zonzi is a classy and experienced defensive midfielder and will be focusing right now on this summer's World Cup in Russia, part of the much fancied France squad..

He ticks plenty of boxes for the Gunners this summer, who definitely need midfield reinforcement, especially players who can add a physical presence to help protect their back four.

Arsenal fans are certainly keen on the move going ahead, believing he would be an excellent option alongside the likes of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey.

Can the club's negotiators now get a deal with Sevilla done?
