Arsenal have been handed a massive boost in the race for Barcelona star Pedro, with the winger having hinted that he’s frustrated with his lack of playing time at the Nou Camp.
The Gunners are understood to be one of a host of clubs chasing the 27-year-old – Liverpool are also keen – amid speculation that he may be available in January.
Pedro is believed to be concerned that his chances of on-field minutes may be heavily reduced with Luis Suarez now back from his lengthy ban, while youngster such as Munir El Haddadi are also pressing for game time.
Arsenal are rumoured to be lining up a £26m offer in the New Year, and the player himself has dropped a major hint that he may look to head away from the Catalan side:
“I known it is hard to play at Barcelona,” he is quoted by The Metro.
“I will continue to give my all to do well. The coach is trying to give me a lot of confidence even though I’m not getting into the team.”
Pedro has been a big player for Barca in recent seasons, helping them to European and domestic successes.
