Arsenal target Serie A strike duo

Juve striker Fernando LlorenteArsenal are considering January moves for Juventus and AC Milan duo Fernando Llorente and Stephan El Shaarawy, according to reports from The Independent.

Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is set to be backed financially by the club’s board in the New Year, and has made a new striker his top priority.

Despite seeing his side top the Premier League table, the Frenchman is aware that a lack of cover for Olivier Giroud could see his side’s title push eroded.

Llorente is thought to be his top target, with reports suggesting contact between the Londoners and Juve has already been established.

The giant Spanish striker only completed a long-awaited move to Turin over the summer, but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular leading to speculation that he is ready to move on.

Wenger is eyeing a loan move for Llorente, who is desperate to play regularly ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

El Shaarawy is also on Arsenal’s radar.

The Italian starlet’s future at the San Siro is also the subject of doubt, with the versatile forward having slipped down the pecking order in recent times.

Liverpool are also keen, but the North London club are thought to be ahead of their domestic rivals due to their ability to offer the 21-year-old Champions League football.

Arsenal fans, Stephan El Shaarawy? Or Fernando Llorente? Who should Arsene Wenger sign?
