Arsenal target sets contract demands after botched Gunners bid
Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette has asked the club for a lower release clause if he is to sign a new deal in France, report Le10 Sport (via Sport Witness).
The 25-year-old has been in prolific form for Les Gones, reportedly attracting the interest of both Arsenal and West Ham.
The Gunners are believed to have had an offer snubbed across the course of the summer, moving for Lucas Perez as a more realistic option to cure their striking woes.
He has started this Ligue 1 season in fine fettle, notching six goals in opening three games.
As a result, Lyon are understood to be ready to offer him a stunning £100k a week to stay with them as they look to keep up the pace on the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.
While the French international is said to be willing to sign on, he doesn’t want to blocked from ever leaving and will reportedly ask for a smaller release clause.
