Arsenal to move for Brazilian forward

Arsenal are planning a January bid for Brazilian youngster Luis Henrique, according to reports in the Metro.

The Botafogo starlet bagged a brace on his senior debut for the side, and is set for a starring role at this October’s Under-17 World Cup in Chile.

The player is under contract with Kia Joorabchian, an agent infamous with the Premier League following his involvement with the deal that saw Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano move to West Ham from Corinthians in 2006.

A 17-year old attacking midfielder, Henrique is said to have a £40m buyout clause in his current contract with the Brazilian outfit.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well stocked in the attacking midfield berths, boasting the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Emirates outfit are currently second in the Premier League after disposing of Manchester United 3-0 before the international break.

The North London giants are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation ahead of the transfer window reopening in January.
