Arsenal to return for Liverpool ace in January

Liverpool striker Luis SuarezArsenal may return with another bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez in January, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Gunners saw multiple bids – including a botched £40m plus £1 attempt – for the Uruguayan knocked back over the summer after making him one of their top targets.

But, they could make a fresh move for the striker this winter, with manager Arsene Wenger set to be backed significantly in the transfer market.

Despite the Gunners having secured a stunning club record £42.4m move for Mesut Ozil on deadline day, the club’s board are prepared to back the Frenchman significantly once again.

Wenger will monitor Suarez between now and January in the hope of taking advantage of any signs of unrest.

The South American could well become unsettled at Anfield, with Brendan Rodgers likely to utilise him in a wide role to accommodate Daniel Strurridge, who has been in fine form so far this term.

Arsenal could also make another move for Chelsea’s Demba Ba, another player they failed to secure before the transfer window closes.

A late loan offer for the Senegalese front-man was rebuffed by their local rivals, who were unwilling to allow him to move to a direct rival on a temporary basis.
