Arsenal are considering a shock summer move for Getafe attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia, with the Madrid club in danger of being relegated to the Segunda Division in Spain, according to reports from Fichajes.
Despite the Coliseum Alfonso Perez-outfit’s poor domestic form – they sit rock-bottom of La Liga, two points from safety with five games to play – the 23-year-old has been in good form and leads the club’s scoring and assist charts with six and five respectively.
And reports claim that he has attracted Arsene Wenger’s attention, with a summer move a possibility.
The playmaker could be a cost-effective option for the Gunners, and his value will likely decrease further should Getafe be unable to haul themselves clear of the relegation dog fight
Sarabia has spent his entire playing career in his homeland, graduating from Real Madrid’s youth set-up before playing for their ‘B’ team.
After failing to break into the senior set-up, the 22-cap Spain U-21 international moved across Madrid to join Getafe in 2011, and has since made over 100 league appearances.
