Arsenal tracking Spanish starlet

Levante winger Ruben GarciaArsenal manager Arsene Wenger is monitoring Levante winger Ruben Garcia, according to reports from The Express.

The Frenchman is believed to have a £70million war chest at his disposal, and is willing to spend big in a bid to keep the Gunners in the hunt for Champions League qualification.

In order to do this he has highlighted Garcia as one of his major targets, after being impressed by the 19-year-old last season.

Garcia was ever-present in the La Liga side’s first-team, and even managed to contribute four goals from a wide position.

The teenager is said to be keen to move to a bigger club, and has even expressed a desire to move abroad to test his skills.

It is reported that a figure of £8.5m would trigger a get out clause in his contract with Levante, which has sparked interest from Wenger, who sees Garcia as a cost-effective option.

Any move is at an early stage, but it is thought that preliminary checks have been made by the London club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been linked with Real Madrid hit-man Gonzalo Higuain, who is set to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Everton’s Marouane Fellaini is also a target, although Wenger is said to be deterred by the Toffees’ valuation of the Belgian.

Arsenal fans, should Arsene Wenger be looking at Ruben Garcia? Or is it time some established players were signed?
