According to The Daily Mirror, Arsenal have been given the opportunity to sign Real Madrid's Mariano Diaz in a cut-price deal. The North London outfit have been told they can land the former Lyon forward for just £18m.

Saliba deal close

BBC Sport is reporting that Saint-Etienne's William Saliba is close to sealing a move to the Emirates Stadium. The deal for the 18-year-old will be worth €30m (£27m). The fee will be paid in instalments, and the centre-back will return to Les Verts on loan next season.

Fenerbahce can't afford Ozil

Fenerbahce will not be making a move for World Cup winner Mesut Ozil this summer, they have said in a statement. On their official website, the Super Lig side explained, "Mesut Özil, with his career and stance successfully represents our country abroad, is an important value known with the identity of Fenerbahce. However, Fenerbahce does not have an initiative for Mesut Ozil. Under the current economic conditions, such a step is not possible for both parties".
