Arsenal Transfer Roundup: Saliba terms agreed, Ozil update, Arsenal lead chase for forward

Arsenal will kick off their 2019/20 Premier League campaign away at Newcastle United on August 11th, meaning they have 55 days to get their squad ready. Today’s Gunners transfer roundup features a completed deal with an 18-year-old, a star name topping the list of outgoings and a French winger angling for a move to North London.

Saliba terms agreed

Foot Mercato are reporting that Saint-Etienne’s William Saliba has agreed a deal with Arsenal. The club and the player have reportedly agreed terms on a five-year contract. No deal has been reached between the two clubs, however.

Arsenal want Ozil out

According to the Sun, Arsenal are ramping up their efforts to get rid of Mesut Ozil this summer as they attempt to bump up their transfer budget. However, his huge £350,000-a-week salary and £30m price-tag is likely to still be too much for some clubs.

Gunners first choice for Claude-Maurice

FC Lorient forward Alexis Claude-Maurice would prefer a move to Arsenal this summer according to Sky Sports. However, there are ten other clubs also interested in the French U20 international according to the report, including Borussia Mönchengladbach, RB Leipzig and West Ham.
