The attacking midfielder won the Player of the Tournament award as Nigeria won last year’s U17 World Cup and has since gone on to captain his country at U20 level.
He was pictured in a Gunners jersey way back in January and allegedly signed a contract with the north London club in March, but the 18-year-old is yet to arrive at the Emirates.
Agent and brother Allwell Nwakali revealed last week that obligations to the Nigeria U20 squad have held up the prodigy’s move.
And Own Goal Nigeria now claim that Nwakali has confirmed to close friends that he’ll arrive in north London on Saturday to officially complete his Gunners transfer.
The report further adds that the teenager has already sealed a visa to work in the UK.
