Three of Arsenal's injured players are set to make a comeback for this weekend's derby against Tottenham.

It is anticipated that Theo Walcott, Wojciech Szczęsny and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will give the Gunners a boost and return for their big Premier League.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott will not play in the England friendly tonight, so that they are fresh for Saturday lunchtime.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been out for the last month with a hip injury, while Theo Walcott sustained an injury during Arsenal's draw against Fulham last weekend.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott are two of many England stars who have had to rule themselves out of tonight’s England friendly with Sweden due to injury. These players also include Wayne Rooney and Kyle Walker.

Walcott, whose future at Arsenal remains uncertain, has already suffered with knocks this season, after sustaining an injury in England’s World Cup qualifier playing San Marino. However, Arsène Wenger recently criticised the decision to pick Jack Wilshere for the friendly in Sweden, saying his feelings over Jack Wilshere’s call-up “are not very positive.”

Wojiech Szczesny has not been fit enough to play since Arsenal thrashed Southampton two months ago, and it is expected he will replace stand-in Vito Mannone in goal.

However, it is not such good news for Kieran Gibbs, who has not yet recovered fully from an injury to his thigh. This means either Andre Santos or Thomas Vermaelen will stay at left-back.

Wenger will also be heartened by the news that Tottenham face a crisis over injuries ahead of this Saturday’s clash, with Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Kyle Walker all struggling to be fit.
