Arsenal vs Tottenham: Confirmed Starting XI’s

Arsenal welcome North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates this afternoon as Arsene Wenger’s side look to go top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners can go a point clear following Manchester City’s slip-up at Middlesborough where a last minute Marten de Roon equaliser squashed the Sky Blue’s hopes of returning to winning ways in the Premier League.

Mesut Ozil and Co. are perhaps enjoying their finest run of form in recent years, as they remain undefeated since their opening day loss to Liverpool. Goals are flowing for the Gunners, and despite looking shaky at the back at times, they look a side ready to mount a title challenge once again following their best finish in over a decade last year.

Tottenham on the other hand – while still undefeated in the league – find themselves in a poor run of form and without a win in all competitions in six games. Their most recent defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League during mid-week has sparked Lily-white fans to question what has happening since their promising start to the campaign.

The stage is set for a tense derby, with both sides looking to secure all three points. In the case of Arsenal, it is the keep their momentum going. In the case of Spurs, to kick start their season.

The line-ups for the two sides have been announced on twitter.
