Arsenal weigh up move for ex-Chelsea forward

Salomon KalouChelsea striker Salomon Kalou is targeting a return to the Premier League and Arsenal could offer him the chance, reports Sky Sports.

The Ivory Coast striker is currently playing his football in France with Lille after leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of last season but it looks as though a sharp return to England could be on the cards.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was linked with a move for Kalou before the striker opted to join Lille, but reports now claim a move to the Emirates Stadium could happen this summer.

Kalou himself has also admitted he would be happy to return to England at some point and that could open the door for Wenger to swoop.

“I’d love to go back to England,” the 27-year-old revealed. “I spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League. Players’ careers change so quickly, you never know what will happen tomorrow.”

Wenger is on the look out for at least one striker during the close season and Kalou appears to be on his wanted list.
