The Argentine was booed off by his home fans during his side’s 2-0 win over Guingamp.
And with new reports linking PSG with Chelsea’s Juan Mata, the French club could allow Pastore to depart the Parc des Princes today. Arsenal have responded to the suggestions by enquiring about Pastore’s availability.
The Gunners have all but secured the signature of Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil, and are ready to turn their attention to their next target. The attacking midfielder is yet to score for PSG this season, and only managed 4 Ligue 1 goals last campaign.
But Wenger is interested in giving Pastore a chance in England, just two years after his €42million move to the French capital.
Whilst the Daily Mail report that the Argentine wants to stay with the Ligue 1 champions, he could be tempted by a move for regular first team football with the World Cup less than a year away. Despite playing 34 league matches last year, it is suggested that his first team opportunities will be limited this campaign.
Any move for Pastore could depend on PSG bringing in a new player within the next few hours, before the deadline.
Would Pastore do well at Arsenal?
