Football Manager 2019 was released on November 2nd this year, and here at Football FanCast we’ve delved into the depths of the most detailed version of the game ever to find some of the best wonderkids available on your Arsenal save.

FM19 comes with a raft of new features and updates. Set your tactical philosophy, rage at a VAR reviewed decision or, most importantly for our young stars, use the brand new training schedule to take a hands-on approach to developing individuals, or your team as a whole.

Whether those youngsters are already described by the media as wonderkids, or if they need a helping hand to reach their potential, bringing a player from the youth team and moulding him into a first-team star has to be one of the most satisfying achievements in FM.

Move over Unai Emery - if you’ve decided that you’re the one who ought to take over from Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium then now is your chance. As well as having such stars as Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at your disposal, the north London outfit boast an exciting group of emerging youngsters too.

Already a well-established member of the first-team squad, Maitland-Niles’ extraordinary versatility and technical ability would make him a valuable asset to any manager. Eddie Nketiah burst onto the scene last season when he notched a match-winning brace on only his second appearance for the club, against Norwich City in the League Cup. Having been with the club since the age of ten, Smith Rowe made his senior debut this season against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League. Since then, the teenager has made further cup outings and has registered his first two goals for the Gunners.

As Wenger prioritised the Europa League towards the end of last season, Joe Willock was drafted in to the first team while senior stars were rested. However, he is yet to make an appearance under Emery.

A little-known figure when he arrived in the summer from Lorient with only a handful of top flight appearances to his name, Matteo Guendouzi has certainly made an impact in England since then. Reiss Nelson signed a new contract with Arsenal this summer before becoming the latest exciting young British talent to jet off for the Bundesliga.
