What a wonderful display from Arsenal in the Europa League.

In what had the potential to be a tricky encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt, last season's semi-finalists, the Gunners ran out comfortable 3-0 winners, albeit with two late goals from Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

There were a number of stand-out performances on the night. Saka and Joe Willock, in particular, put in dominant displays with WhoScored ratings of 9.4 and 8.09 respectively, while Aubameyang, naturally, also found the back of the net.

However, not everyone will be as happy with their display. Emile Smith-Rowe, in particular, will be ruing his missed opportunity to make an impression.

His paltry 6.2 rating was the lowest of all of his teammates, and it doesn't tell the whole story. Although he was playing in an advanced, offensive position, he had little influence on Arsenal's attacking threat. He failed to create a single chance and was also unable to beat his man on any occasion.

There are even more stats that display his ineffectiveness. Other than goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, only Shkodran Mustafi registered a lower pass accuracy than the 19-year-old's 69.2%, while he was dispossessed three times as much as the next Arsenal player, Aubameyang.

This was the perfect day for the prodigy to show exactly what he is capable of, especially after a year that has seen his development hampered.

He played just three times during his loan spell with RB Leipzig due to injury.

Unfortunately, he was unable to grasp the chance afforded to him on this occasion. With Emery's team yet to hit full stride, the 19-year-old could have potentially given his manager something to think about with a strong performance.

In the end, though, the former Sevilla boss will likely pursue other options. The only positive note is that he could have another chance to impress against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup next week. He cannot afford to let that opportunity pass him by as well.
