Arsenal are considering making an offer for Brazilian international Everton, according to Portuguese language outlet Globo Esporte.
The report states that the Gunners have made initial enquiries about a deal for the player but face competition from other European sides such as Atletico Madrid for his signature.
Everton came to global prominence during the recent Copa America tournament, netting three times and assisting twice, playing in every match and helping Brazil lift the trophy in their homeland by scoring in the final against Peru.
Check out 5 reasons why Arsenal need Wilfried Zaha in the video below…
That’s no guarantee he’d be a hit at the Emirates, but being an integral part of an elite side that boasts talents such as Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho is a good sign.
The 23-year-old plays his club football with Gremio in the Brazilian top-flight, scoring 38 goals in 147 appearances for the club, predominately featuring on the left wing.
With the Gunners so far unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, could Everton be a viable alternative attacking option?
Fans are certainly keen on seeing him arrive, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts over the last 48 hours…

I’ve wanted this guy at Arsenal since I saw him play in Copa Libertadores a few months ago. With Edu on board, there might be something to it. Fingers crossed.
