Arsenal are expected to confirm their first signing of the January transfer window after agreeing a £2.5m fee for Legia Warsaw youngster Krystian Bielik.
According to the Daily Star, the Gunners have all but wrapped up a deal for the highly-rated 17-year-old, with the player keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Beilik recently said: “I’ve made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I’m not going to change it.
“I am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs. I realise that the negotiations may take some time. I am, however, confident it will happen soon.”
And now that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs, an announcement is expected to be made imminently.
Legia Warsaw manager, former Blackburn and Manchester United player Henning Berg, has praised Beilik’s abilities and tips him to be a success in the Premier League.
He told the Daily Star: “He doesn’t have any weaknesses.
“He is a physical player with good skills, good understanding, a good match mentality and good decision-making in the game.
“For his age, he is quite far ahead compared to others in his age group.”
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Arsenal have an agreement in place to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin for £25million next summer.
