Arsenal’s FIVE ‘missed transfer opportunities’ of the summer

It has been a rather disturbing summer for Arsenal fans so far. Arsene Wenger’s announcement of a £70million transfer kitty earlier in the season alleviated the concerns of the Emirates faithful amid a lukewarm Premier League campaign that very much symbolised the North Londoners’ recent decline.

But it’s now nearly August, and we are yet to see any movement from the Gunners, barring their capture of Ligue 2 starlet Yaya Sanogo, who may be the absolute human epitome of Arsenal’s transfer policy for the past ten years.

With that in mind, we take a look at the FIVE opportunities in the transfer market that Arsene Wenger has already willingly passed up this summer in the hope that he will visit Football Fancast in his spare time, and realise the errors of his ways.
