After a great start to the new 2019/20 Premier League season, Arsenal had an enormous task of visiting none other than Liverpool at Anfield for their third fixture of the campaign.

Even though they fought valiantly, the Gunners were ultimately outgunned and had to return home with no points to their name.

The Reds defeated Unai Emery’s men 3-1 on the day, solidifying that number one spot on the table. Arsenal, on the other hand, fell to third, just behind Manchester City.

And after such a huge clash and a disappointing result, it is normal that the players, and probably the fans as well, feel a little down.

For that reason, both Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira took to Instagram to lift the team’s spirits and ask the fans for their help so they can keep fighting.

Still, there are enough positive early signs there for Arsenal to suggest that they can bounce back with a positive result in the North London derby next weekend.

These messages should, however, make Emery happy since they show great character and determination from his players moving forward.
