It has been a long recovery period for Hector Bellerin so far.

And the Spanish defender still hasn't been officially cleared and announced fit just yet, but if the latest updates coming from the player himself are anything to go by, he might be really close.

Bellerin took to Instagram to share a "subtle" hint that he is indeed getting better with each passing day.

He even captioned it as "Looking at the comeback like" and then proceeded to post a fitting emoji next to it.

The cruciate ligament rupture he sustained all the way back in January has sidelined the Spaniard ever since, and it also made him miss 33 games so far.

It still remains to be seen when the Gunners will deem him fit enough to grace the pitches in the 2019/20 season for the first time, and he may need to dislodge Ainsley Maitland-Niles following his impressive display at right-back against Newcastle United last time out.

In the 2018/19 season, however, he managed to accumulate 19 appearances across all competitions, assisting five goals in the process.
