Arsenal’s long wait for a trophy ends

Arsenal players were in a jubilant mood after their 2-0 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace and posed for pictures with a trophy in the dressing room long in to the night.

With their wait for silverware now standing at eight years, eight months and twelve days, Arsenal were able to put that run to a dramatic end as they took turns lifting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Barclays Man of the Match trophy and posting pictures of everyone smiling with the award on Twitter.

It might not be the Premier League trophy just yet, but perhaps its a sign of things to come as they sit happily at the top of the league…
