The long and arduous wait is over. Arsenal have finally made a marquee signing, and what a signing it is.

Former Lille star Nicolas Pepe was one of the most sought-after stars in European football before he put pen to paper and committed his future to the Gunners for a club record £72million on Thursday, as per BBC Sport.

Pepe netted 22 times in Ligue 1 last season and will link up with golden boot winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and partner Alexandre Lacazette next month.

And if Instagram is anything to go by, he’s already familiarising himself with the pair.

Aubameyang starts off the banter train with what can only be described as football player humour:

Lacazette joins in (ha, ha):

And then it was Pepe's turn:

If you've ever moved schools before, you know that you'd do almost anything to fit into your new environment.

We have a suspicion there's a strong case of that playing out here.

Big things to come from Pepe and his new posse.
