Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has distanced himself from a move to PSG by revealing he will see out his contract with the Gunners.
The former Monaco manager has a long-standing link with the Parisians, with reports suggesting the current Ligue 1 leaders had lined up Wenger to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season.
Wenger’s future at the Emirates Stadium appeared to be in doubt for the first time in his 17-year reign earlier in the campaign but having turned around the club’s fortunes it seems as though the powers that be in north London are happy to keep him on.
The 63-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer of 2014 and Wenger has ruled out leaving the Gunners a year ahead of schedule, claiming he will stick around for at least another 12 months.
“I’m preparing for the next match and next season with Arsenal,” Wenger said, after Arsenal’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United on Sunday. “I’ve always seen my contracts through, and it’s not at my age that I’m going to change.”
