Arsene Wenger left frustrated

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rued his side's late lapse as the Gunners were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw in their latest Champions League clash at AZ Alkmaar.

The Gunners remain in charge of Group H and seem certain to qualify for the last 16 of the competition but had to settle for a point against the Dutch side when David Mendes da Silva netted in the third minute of stoppage time.

Wenger said after the match:"We feel frustrated because we felt superior to this team.

"We had a good performance and couldn't take advantage of our chances and in the final minute we got caught but that's the Champions League.

"You need focus for 93 minutes. We made maybe one mistake and we paid for it.

"We had the opportunity just before to score the second goal but got caught offside.

"Then we had the ball in the box. Away from home sometimes you get these kind of goals."
