Barcelona ace oblivious to talk of Arsenal return

Cesc Fabregas

Barcelona midfield man Cesc Fabregas claims he is oblivious to talk of him returning to Arsenal this summer, according to the Metro.

The Spanish playmaker has struggled to nail down a first team spot in a talented Catalan midfield since he re-joined the club from Arsenal in 2011.

Now used as a makeshift false nine when Lionel Messi has rare game on the bench, Fabregas may need to leave the Nou Camp in order to find the form that made him one of the best players in the Premier League.

The Gunners would jump at the chance to bring back their former captain after constant injuries to the likes of Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere have made life tough for Arsene Wenger.

However the North London club are not certain to be playing in the Champions League next season and so any recruitment will surely be based on that come the summer.

‘I do not know what is being said and even what is written,’ said Fabregas.

‘I can only say that I alone know my own future.’
