Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva has completed an £11.5million move to Real Madrid, as reporting by Mail Online.
The 21-year-old Brazil international had previously been linked with Arsenal, report MailOnline, but he opted to sign for La Liga giants Real Madrid this week.
In an official statement, Real Madrid revealed Silva had put pen-to-paper on a deal that will keep him at the Bernabeu until June 2020, claim MailOnline.
The same statement also reveals Silva will be revealed at the Bernabeu on Monday after ‘undergoing the relevant medical examination’ over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Express are reporting that Arsenal are close to beating Manchester United to the signing of Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista after agreeing to allow striker Joel Campbell to go the other way in a loan move until the end of the season.
Campbell has struggled for game time at Arsenal after spending the last two seasons out on loan at Olympiakos and Real Betis, making just four Premier League appearances so far this term.
