He’s already made four appearances for Brazil at international level, scoring twice, and is generating interest from some of European football’s biggest clubs – including Arsenal.

Indeed, ESPN Brazil claim the Gunners have launched an official bid for the Santos star, who boasts 54 goals in 148 appearances for his club since making his debut in 2013.

However, Britain’s shock exit from the European Union could stand in the way of a move to the Emirates because of potential work permit complications.

ESPN claim the Brexit will have undoubted effect on transfers in English football and as leaving the EU will be a two-year process, Gabigol could be waiting a long time to discover whether he’ll be allowed to sign for the north Londoners.

The teenager has also received offers from Serie A and the Chinese Super League.
