Championship side Hull City want to sign Arsenal midfielder Isaac Hayden on a permanent basis, report the Daily Star.
The 20-year old notched his first senior goal over Charlton last weekend while on loan at the KC Stadium, as the Tigers romped to a 6-0 win.
It had been his first start for the club since September and at one point it looked as if the arrangement between the two clubs was set to be cancelled back in December.
However, a proposed move across London to Fulham has since collapsed and he has emerged as a favourite for Hull chief Steve Bruce.
The former Manchester United defender has revealed he had been in contact with the Gunners as he strives to strike a permanent deal with the Premier League leaders.
‘I’ve already been on to Arsenal because I’d love to make [the loan] permanent’, stated the ex-Sunderland and Wigan manager.
‘I’d make it permanent tomorrow if that was possible. I desperately want to hang on to him’, he told the Hull Daily Mail.
