If you didn’t hear, Mesut Ozil was on fire last night. The German netted a second-half hat-trick to help Arsenal secure a resounding 6-0 victory over Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League to secure the match ball for the first time in his career.
Having also set up Theo Walcott for Arsenal’s second goal, his first assist of the season, it’s fair to say Ozil was in his best form last night and it continued a good run for the Gunners’ most expensive player, who has now netted five goals in his last four games having previously scored against Chelsea and Swansea City.
Naturally, the playmaker, a man we’ve never actually seen unhappy, was on top of the world last night and he went full Ozil mode when collecting the match ball come the final whistle.

The man oozes class and it’s easy to see why he’s adored by the Arsenal faithful, although the club and fans will be sweating until he puts pen to paper on a new deal.
He’ll be looking to continue his form this weekend against Middlesbrough, a game in which Arsenal will be hoping to make it seven consecutive wins in the Premier League and make the top-spot their own, having drawn level with Manchester City at the weekend.
