Crocked Arsenal star is in line for a bumper new deal with the club despite his continued injury problems, according to the Daily Mail.
The 23-year old is yet to appear this term after fracturing his ankle during the closing stages of the Gunners’ pre-season campaign.
However, the England international remains one of the most established players at the club when fully fit, and could be in line to extend his stay beyond his current deal.
He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract in North London, with talks understood to be underway soon as the club look to keep him at the Emirates.
‘He has two years left and I want Jack to stay here’, revealed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
‘He is a special case because he is a special talent, he comes out of the club and he is an England international.’
Wilshere has often been the subject of injury problems during his young career, playing just 57 games for the side over the past two seasons.
