As reported by The Daily Mail, one of the players Arsenal are interested in signing this summer is Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay.

What's the story?

This summer is one of big transition at the Emirates Stadium after long-serving manager Arsene Wenger was replaced by Unai Emery and the Spaniard is likely to be eager to stamp his own identity on the first team squad.

One player that could arrive at the club is Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay.

That's according to The Daily Mail, who report that while the Gunners are interested in a potential £20m, having watched the player in action this season, they may have to wait until they sell some players to fund a move for him.

Is he a player that should be on their radar in the upcoming window?

Who is he?

Demirbay has had an impressive couple of seasons in the German top-flight for Hoffenheim, emerging as one of the division's better attacking midfielders. 2016/17 was a particularly highlight, scoring six and assisting ten more in 28 Bundesliga appearances.

The most recent campaign may not have hit those levels, he missed much of it through injury, but he's a player who loves to create and have an impact on the match in the final third, averaging two key passes and a successful dribble every match according to WhoScored.

They aren't spectacular numbers but he's a technical player who would fit in well at Arsenal and at 24 years of age has plenty room for improvement.

As available midfield options go this summer, the Gunners could do worse.
