From insulting Spurs fans, to always being injured, right up to getting caught smoking on an almost monthly basis; there’s plenty to give Jack Wilshere a ribbing about. The Arsenal man was once the great promise of English football, with his neat passing and precise movement of the ball making him more akin with Spanish youngsters than some of the Sunday League clodders England has produced over the last few years.
However, he still gets a lot of abuse. Perhaps ol’ Jack hasn’t quite lived up to his potential just yet, but he did notch two amazing goals for the Three Lions in EURO 2016 qualification action over the weekend, somewhat silencing his critics.
Football FanCast’s Marcus Speller talks about the topic in this week’s Tweets of the Week video below, with a revealing stat showing that we may be a little guilty when it comes to our Wilshere criticism. There’s also Copa America talking points, a Fabio Capello update and even some dietary advice thrown in… Enjoy!
