Laurent Koscielny is one of the first names on Arsenal’s team sheet. The Frenchman is seen as a vital player at the Emirates Stadium and really has settled into English football.
However, it wasn’t always so rosy for the 31-year-old, whose start to life in the Premier League was rocky. Signed in 2010 from Lorient, the now 40-cap France international found the move across the Channel problematic initially, and was called out by a few fans along the way.

Koscielny’s route to the top has not been as smooth as some of France’s top talents. The experienced enforcer plied his trade with Guingamp and Tours before really shining at Lorient in Ligue 1.
From here he was picked up by Arsenal during one of their annual transfer expeditions to Arsene Wenger’s homeland.
