England’s World Cup hopes boosted by Arsenal ace

During a World Cup year, there’s always a sense of worry that England will have to endure a penalty shoot-out, especially if it’s against the Germans.

But tonight us England fans can sleep safely in the knowledge that Germany’s infamous talent at taking penalties may be on the decline after Mesut Ozil’s woeful penalty for Arsenal against Bayern Munich at the Emirates.

Can we take comfort that this is a sign of things to come ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Brazil? It may be clutching at straws, but we’ll take whatever we can…
