Felipe Anderson move opens the door for Arsenal to get rid of Joel Campbell

Felipe Anderson’s move from Lazio to West Ham could mean the Italian club will look to sign Arsenal winger Joel Campbell according to club news site La Lazio Siamo Noi.

What’s the story?

Brazilian attacking midfielder Anderson looks set to join West Ham in a reported £40million deal and Lazio are starting to look for a replacement for their star.

According to the report, the Roman club are considering Arsenal fringe player Joel Campbell who joined the Gunners back in 2011, but has spent most of his time on loan.

The 26-year-old is also reportedly wanted by Fenerbahce and Galatasaray and could be available for as little as £2.65million.

Time to part ways

Campbell promised much when he first arrived at Arsenal with his searing pace led many to compare him to teammate Theo Walcott.

However, he has failed to deliver on his talent and with new boss Unai Emery looking to rebuild the squad, it’s high time that the dead wood like Campbell makes way for new and exciting players that will take Arsenal in the right direction.
