Five EURO 2016 Group B stars that Arsenal should look to sign this summer

EURO 2016 is now fewer than 24 hours away! France take on Romania in the first match in Group A whereas England’s group, Group B, kicks off on Saturday.

Just a few hours away from London lies France’s national stadium, as well as lots of other world class arenas where England stars will be battling out this summer.

Arsenal have just one player in the England squad, that is of course, Jack Wilshere, who was picked through much controversy but Wilshere is joined in Group B by Arsenal team-mate Aaron Ramsey who will face Wilshere, for Wales, on the 16th June.

There is plenty of talent in Group B, with 92 World Class players on show, Arsene Wenger should definitely keep his eye on some of the intriguing games in England’s tough group.

Of course, Arsenal are known to be looking at England striker Jamie Vardy, but here are FIVE other Group B men that Wenger should be eyeing…

John Stones

Stones

This is perhaps an odd choice seeing as Stones didn’t exactly have the best of seasons last year at Everton, however there is still plenty of reasons why the youngster is wanted all around the globe by the likes of Chelsea, who famously just missed out on Stones at the beginning of last season.

Stones could be an excellent long-term replacement for Per Mertesacker and is already fairly experienced. He is strong, great on the ball and can pick out a pass which shows that he would suit Arsenal’s style of play.

Marek Hamsik

Arsenal by no means need another classy playmaker but Marek Hamsik would fit into the Arsenal line up perfectly, evidenced by his 11 assists for Napoli last season and his great passing skills.

Hamsik is great off the ball and looks for space to run into and is a great asset in front of goal, the 28 year old has scored 18 times for Slovakia and England better be careful when they face him in the last game of the group stage.

Artem Dzyuba

This one would be quite a gamble but Arsenal are a club that is used to controversy. Dzyuba, at 27, has an excellent record of a goal every two games for his club last season, Zenit St. Petersburg, the club from which Arsenal signed Andrei Arshavin.

Dzyuba also has the same record for his country and will be a real danger man on Saturday night in England’s opening match.

Norbert Gyomber

Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of him because you will have, soon! The 23 year old is working his way into the Roma first team this year. The talented centre back is an up and coming Slovakian hero and will, like Hamsik, be a real problem for England in the final game of Group B. Wenger should keep his eye on him throughout the summer.

Jamie Vardy

6Vardy

Last but not least… it’s Jamie Vardy. Most people would have expected a deal to have been completed by now between Leicester and Arsenal but it doesn’t seem as if the 29 year old has made up his mind. It would certainly be an interesting move but Arsenal fans have been crying out for a star striker for years and Vardy is a man who fired the Foxes to glory last year, netting 24 times.
