Arsenal's early season form continued to impress as they saw off Ludogorets with ease at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. With a strong team named by Arsene Wenger, little else was expected against one of the perceived weakest teams in the Champions League this season.

They did not disappoint. Finishing with a comfortable 6-0 win, the Gunners have as good as secured their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League yet again. The next stage is to officially confirm it, of course, but the real worry for Arsenal is that they seldom make it into the latter rounds of the competition.

These are, however, the sort of games that Arsenal have traditionally found a way to mess up. Whether it's been through a moronic red card, a glut of injuries or just a completely abject team performance, Arsenal have previously suffered a knack of screwing up on the European stage.

It's not time to worry about that, though. Let's take a look at five images to tell the story of Wednesday night...

Alexis does it again

Remember that time when Alexis' career was in turmoil? When he didn't really settle in at Barca?

Well, that is a distant memory these days. The Chilean has been wonderful for Arsenal, he continues to be wonderful for Arsenal and he scored a sublime chip to open the game against Ludogorets.

He's no Will Grigg, but Theo Walcott is on fire.

The England international cannot stop scoring, literally. He might finally be reaching the potential that Arsenal bought him for, which would be more than handy for the Gunners.

After a brace at the weekend, Walcott notched Arsenal's second goal of the game to go 2-0 up just before half-time and here he is with his pacy right-sided brother, Hector Bellerin.

Enjoy that, Alex

For one of Arsenal's most maligned players, the game with Ludogorets was a welcome opportunity to impress. Having had his career blighted by poor form and injury, Chamberlain finds himself in a similar boat to the one Theo Walcott was until recently marooned in.

That boat is currently in some pretty choppy waters. Chamberlain netted Arsenal's third of the night, however, and at least made a minor impression on Arsene Wenger.

That sort of night

It was that type of night for Arsenal and what a night it must have been for the Gunners fans. Without the stress they are now accustomed to, they walked all over their opponents and it looks like Mesut Ozil really enjoyed it.

Ozil thrived in the Arsenal midfield yet again, finishing up with a hat-trick, and the German will need to replicate these sort of performances if the Gunners are to progress deep into the Champions League this season.

Gotta be mad to be a 'keeper

Conceding six goals in a game can't make a goalkeeper feel all that great, even if there was little he could do about most of them.

It was a lonely night for the Ludogorets stopper, who had almost no protection for much of the match and was left exposed on far too many occasions.
