Sunday's North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could go a long way to deciding who will win the title.

The Gunners have home advantage at the Emirates and are unbeaten in nine games in the league. A win against their rivals could also see them climb to the top of the table.

Tottenham are currently struggling for goals having drawn each of their last three since defeating Manchester City and finding the net only twice in that time.

Spurs are however unbeaten in the league against Arsenal under Mauricio Pochettino and will hope to cause an upset, particularly if star striker Harry Kane features after missing the last five games through injury.

Form often goes out of the window for the derby, with both sides keen to battle for the full ninety minutes.

Matches like them are often decided by the slimmest of margins - here are four key battles that will decide which way the result goes...

SON HEUNG-MIN VS KIERAN GIBBS

Heung-min Son

With Mauricio Pochettino confirming Erik Lamela will be absent and Moussa Sissoko suspended, it would appear Son Heung-Min is in line to start on the right-hand side.

The South Korean has struggled to get into games recently despite starring against Stoke City and Middlesbrough but will be hoping to make a difference on Sunday.

With Nacho Montreal a doubt, he is likely to face up to Kieran Gibbs. Gibbs is apparently carrying a slight shoulder injury himself - a weakness Son will be looking to exploit.

LAURENT KOSCIELNY VS VINCENT JANSSEN

Laurent Koscielny

Laurent Koscielny has been one of the best defenders in the league this season and it's no coincidence that things have improved since his return to the Gunners backline.

The Gunners have kept four clean sheets in the last nine games with the Frenchman in the lineup and he'll have to be at his best on Sunday.

With Son likely to start out wide and Harry Kane only likely to be fit enough for the bench Koscielny will likely face up to Vincent Janssen. The Dutchman is yet to score in open play and Koscielny will be hoping to keep it that way.

DELE ALLI VS GRANIT XHAKA

Dele Alli

Of all the Spurs players, Dele Alli has looked the most likely to score goals in Harry Kane's absence.

The 20-year-old found the net in back-to-back games against Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion and boasts the ability to break into the box or score from range.

Granit Xhaka is likely to play the role of deep-lying playmaker with Santi Cazorla likely to be absent but may also be charged with keeping an eye on Alli while Francois Coquelin or Mohamed Elneny patrolling the rest of the midfield.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ VS ERIC DIER

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez is coming off the back of tearing Sunderland's defence apart and will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a Spurs defence still missing Toby Alderweireld.

We expect Sanchez to start up top with Olivier Giroud more likely to be used as an impact sub, and he will likely face a pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier.

Dier has played reasonably well in Alderweireld's absence but will face his hardest task yet against the Chilean livewire.

VICTOR WANYAMA VS MESUT OZIL

Victor Wanyama's performance against Man City

With Eric Dier likely to be in the centre of defence and Moussa Dembele given the role of roaming the midfield, Victor Wanyama will have to babysit Mesut Ozil in midfield.

That will be easier said that done as the German's movement is almost unsurpassed while he is full of confidence - as shown by his majestic goal midweek.

If Ozil is subdued Spurs have a chance of coming away with a win, but it's certainly a big 'if'.
